Iron ore e-auction in Karnataka held on 19 May,2015 fetched flat bids.
In the recent Karnataka Iron ore e-auction, 0.09 MnT of the raw material was sold out of the offered quantity of 0.38 MnT. Material was offered by private miners namely Sesa Sterlite, Chowgule & Company & Lakshmi Minerals. Largest buyer was Janki Corp.
E-auction received flat bids. Fines (Fe 55.5%) offered by Sesa Sterlite was sold at the base price of INR 500/MT. On similar lines, fines (Fe 63.8%) was offered by Chowgule & Company at base price of INR 1,850/MT and was sold at INR 1,880/MT. Similarly, lump (Fe 61%) offered by Sesa Sterlite was sold at base price of INR 2,450/MT.
