India: Karnataka iron ore e-auction by private miners receives tepid response

Private miners in Karnataka had conducted an e-auction for 662,950 t of iron ore on 20 May of which 234,950 t was booked.

• Vedanta Limited emerged as the largest buyer at 40,000 t followed by Rai Bahadur Seth Shreeram Narasingdas Private Limited at 28,000 t.
• The iron ore fines (Fe 67.02%) lot was booked at INR 5,800/t (basic, taxes extra).
