Kamachi group, one of the oldest and largest integrated steel manufacturer based in Chennai, Southern India, is unloading a cargo of 27,000 tons Iron Pellet at Chennai Port Trust.
According to sources, cargo vessel (Vinaship Sea) carrying 27,000 tons of Iron Pellet was loaded from Paradip Port (Odisha). However, shipper's name was not known.
Recently, Pellet prices in Eastern part of India corrected sharply amid weak demand and increased availability.
Whereas, prices in Southern India were almost stable over restricted supply of Iron ore in the state.
Current Pellet(Fe 63) prices in domestic market for are:
Odisha – Rs 6,100-6,200/MT
Karnataka – Rs 6,900- 7,100/MT
