- Patra capacity to double to 10,000 t/month from 5,000 t/month
- Maximum coil width to rise to 11 inches from 9 currently
JTL Engineering Ltd, a subsidiary of JTL Industries Ltd, plans to invest approximately INR 15 crore to double its narrow-width HR coil (Patra) manufacturing capacity to 10,000 t/month from the current 5,000 t/month, according to a press release.
The expanded facility is expected to be commissioned in Q4 FY27. The project will also increase JTL Engineering’s maximum coil width capability to 11 inches (279.4 mm) from the existing 9 inches (228.6 mm), enabling the company to manufacture a wider range of narrow-width HR coils.
Mr. Madan Mohan Singla, managing director of JTL Industries, said the investment would strengthen JTL Engineering’s manufacturing capabilities and expand its product range, allowing the company to cater to a broader set of product specifications and customer requirements.
JTL Industries has manufacturing facilities across Punjab, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Himachal Pradesh, including through its subsidiaries. The company’s cumulative pipe manufacturing capacity is approximately 9,36,000 t/year, including around 300,000 t/year of backward-integrated capacity.
Its product portfolio includes DFT structural pipes, GI pipes, MS black pipes, hollow sections, solar structures, HR coils (Patra), and phosphorous bronze, copper and brass alloys, among others, catering to various industrial and infrastructure applications.
