JSW Steel reported crude steel production from Indian operations at 2.055 mnt in Apr’24, up by marginally 1% y-o-y from 2.033 mnt in Apr’23. During the period, capacity utilisation at Indian operations stood at 88%. Also, the company reported consolidated crude steel production at 2.121 mnt, up 0.4% y-o-y from 2.113 mnt in the CPLY. Iron ore availability constraints from Karnataka mines at Vijayanagar impacted the production.
