JSW Steel reported crude steel production from Indian operations at 2.013 mnt in May’24, down 4% from 2.093 mnt in May’23. The production dropped mainly due to planned maintenance shutdown for one of the blast furnaces at Dolvi. During the period, capacity utilisation from India operations stood at 86%. Also, the company has reported consolidated crude steel production at 2.098 mnt, down 4% from 2.178 mnt in the CPLY.
