India: JSW Steel’s Additional Wire Rod Capacity to Turn Operational in Dec’19

JSW Steel Ltd. is all set to expand its wire rod mill capacity at its Vijaynagar plant in Karnataka, SteelMint learned from market sources. The capacity would become 1.8 MnT pa after expansion against capacity of 0.6 MnT pa. New installed capacity will be operational from Dec’19.

Also JSW Steel’s Salem (Tamil Nadu) plant has existing capacity of 0.2 MnT with special steel specifications.

Company has strong presence in domestic market and exists in six locations at Vijaynagar (Karnataka), Salem (Tamil Nadu) & Tarapur, Vasand, Kamleshwar and Dolvi in (Maharashtra) and Global presence at U.S.A & Italy.

JSW Steel is one of the major integrated steel company with installed capacity of 18 MnT pa. Its manufacturing facility in Karnataka is the largest single location steel producing facility in India with a capacity of 12 MnT pa.
