India: JSW Steel reports 4%, m-o-m, decline in crude steel production in Feb’22

Steel major JSW Steel reported a 4% drop in crude steel production to 1.58 million tonnes (mnt) in Feb’22 compared with 1.646 mnt in the previous month. On an annual basis, production jumped 21% as against 1.306 mnt in Feb’21.

• The steel major produced 1.154 mnt of flats and 0.367 mnt of long products in Feb.
• Average capacity utilisation rose to 88%.
