India’s leading steelmaker, JSW Steel, and South Korea’s POSCO Group have signed a non-binding Heads of Agreement (HoA) to jointly explore setting up a 6 MTPA integrated steel plant in India, potentially in Odisha. The proposed 50:50 venture combines both companies’ technological expertise. A feasibility study will finalise location, investment terms, and resources, supporting India’s self-reliance and export ambitions.
