Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Steel is set to acquire Chennai based Chettinad Builders for approx. INR 960 crore. With this, JSW will have control over three cargo handling depots – of which two are with Kamarajar Port and one is with New Mangalore Port Trust. The acquired cargo terminals will include a 10 mn t common user coal handling terminal and a 2 mn t multi-cargo terminal at Kamarajar Port as well as a 10 mn t coal terminal at the New Mangalore Port Trust.
