India – JSW Long Steel Output Up 18% in Q3 FY19

JSW Steel, India’s largest private steel producer has released its quarterly results today for Q3 FY19, in which the company’s production increased sharply.

Long Steel: The producer marked significant jump in long steel output by 18% Y-o-Y in Q3 FY19 (Oct-Dec’18). As per press release, JSW Steel has produced about 1.04 MnT Long steel in Q3 FY19, which was about 0.88 in Q3 FY18 (Oct-Dec’17).

Meanwhile it is being surged by 16% in comparison with first nine months of FY19 (Apr-Dec’18) as it stood at about 2.88 MnT, than the 2.48 MnT during FY18 (Apr-Dec’17).

Flat Steel: The flat steel productions by JSW Steel has reported at 2.90 MnT in Q3 FY19, slightly gain by 3% as compared with 2.82 MnT in Q3 FY18.

Similar rise observed during Apr-Dec’18 period, in which the flat steel productions recorded at 8.73 MnT as against 8.46 MnT in Apr-Dec’17.

Crude Steel production marginally up: JSW Steel’s crude steel output stood at 4.23 MnT during Oct-Dec’18 (Q3 FY19) inch up by 3% on yearly basis as compared to 4.11 MnT in Oct-Dec’17. On quarterly basis the company’s crude steel productions also moved up by 1% in Oct-Dec’18 as compared with 4.18 MnT in Jul-Sep’18 (Q2 FY19).

During first nine months of FY’18 (Apr-Dec’18) JSW crude steel output stood at 12.52 MnT up by 5% against 11.96 MnT in similar time frame of previous year.
