India’s largest steelmaker- JSW Steel have released their production results for the month of Jul’18 today.Company’s Long steel output witness significant growth however flat steel and crude steel output inched up slightly.
Company’s long steel output witness 10% growth M-o-M in Jul’18-JSW long steel output jumped by 10% on monthly basis to 0.306 MnT in Jul’18 as compared to 0.277 MnT in Jun’18.
However on yearly basis the same surged by whopping 41% on yearly basis in Jul’18 against 0.217 MnT in corresponding time frame of previous year.
Although rebar prices by primary producers witness decline by INR 1000-1500/MT in the month of Jul’18 .
Company’s flat steel output moved up 4% M-o-M in Jul’18- JSW flat steel output registered the growth of 4% in Jul’18 against Jun’18.Company’s flat steel output stood at 0.986 MnT in Jul’18 which was 0.95 MnT in previous month.
However on yearly basis the same reported slight growth of 2% in Jul’18 against 0.97 MnT in Jul’17.
In the month of July major Indian steelmakers have rolled over flat steel prices owing to dull trades and sluggish demand prevailing in domestic market.Thus this may result to steady growth in company’s flat steel production in the month of July.
On an average basis domestic HRC ( 2.5-8 mm IS2062) prices in the month of July stood at INR 45,000/MT (ex-Mumbai) which was INR 45,500-46,000/MT in the month of Jun’18.
Company’s crude steel output inch up in Jul’18 – JSW Steel’s crude steel output stood at 1.378 MnT inched up by 1% against 1.37 MnT in preceding month.
However on yearly basis the same registered the growth of 8% in Jul’18 as compared to 1.278 MnT in Jul’17.
