JSW Steel’s crude steel production has fallen by 3% in Q4 FY15 against 3.15 MnT in Q4 FY14. The steelmaker has produced 3.06 MnT in the 4th quarter, as per a source. The major reason behind the downfall in production was shutdown of its one of the blast furnace at Vijayanagar plant for 47 days due to annual maintenance.
The integrated Steelmaker has set its target of 12.9 MnT in FY15, while, it is able to reach the level of 12.6 MnT and missed the target by 0.3 MnT.
In Q4 FY15, production of rolled products was 2.47 MnT, witnessing a fall of 1% over last year period. Whereas, the company produced 0.48 MnT rolled products-long in the quarter.
