India’s largest steelmaker- JSW Steel has released their quarterly production results today.JSW Steel’s crude steel output stood at 4.18 MnT in Q2 FY19 higher by 6% Y-o-Y as compared to 3.94 MnT in Q2 FY18.On quarterly basis the same inched up by 1% in Q2’FY19 as compared to 4.12 MnT in Q1 FY’19.
Company’s crude steel output recorded at 8.3 MnT in H1 FY19 against 7.86 MnT in similar time frame of previous year.
Company’s long steel output inched down on quarterly premises- On quarterly basis, JSW Steel’s long steel output inched down by 2% in Q2FY19 against 0.93 MnT in previous quarter.
Rebar prices of Primary producers fell on quarterly basis and stood at an average of INR 42,350/MT (ex-Mumbai, GST extra) in Q2 FY19 against INR 44,700/MT in previous quarter.
JSW long steel output surge by 17% Y-o-Y basis to 0.91 MnT in Q2 FY19 as compared to 0.77 MnT in Q2 FY18.
Company’s flat steel output up 3% Q-o-Q in Q2FY19– On Q-o-Q basis company’s flat steel output stood moved up by 3% to 2.96 MnT in Q2FY19 which was 2.87 MnT in last quarter. In Q2FY19 (Jul-Sep) average prices of HRC ( 2.5 -8) mm in domestic market is around INR 45,660/MT (Ex-Mumbai) as compared to INR 45,500 (ex-Mumbai) in Q1FY19.
JSW flat steel output inch up by 2% in Q2FY19 to 2.96 MnT as compared to 2.89 MnT in similar quarter of previous year.
