JSW Steel recorded a growth of 30% in crude steel output at 3.85 mn t in the second quarter FY’21, the company informed today. With this, it has achieved average capacity utilization of 86% in Q2 FY’21 in-line with pre-COVID level of 85% in Q2 FY’20 and a quantum jump from 66% capacity utilization in Q1 FY’21, impacted by the pandemic. The company’s crude steel output in the H1 FY’20 totalled 6.81 mn t, declining 16% y-o-y.
