India’s largest steelmaker- JSW steel has today released their monthly crude steel output results for the month of Apr’18.
JSW crude steel output on monthly basis stood at 1.36 MnT in Apr’18 down by 11% in comparison to 1.52 MnT in Mar’18.
However on yearly basis company’s crude steel production increased by 6.25% in Apr’18 against 1.28 MnT in Apr’17.
However company’s crude steel output in FY18 registered growth of 3% to 16.27 MnT which was the highest annual crude steel output company has achieved so far. In FY17 the same stood at 15.8 MnT.
Company’s Long steel output plunged by 10% M-o-M in Apr’18 – Company’s long steel output went down by 10% on monthly basis in Apr’18 to 0.324 MnT which was 0.36 MnT in the month of Mar’18. However,on yearly basis the same surged by 9% in Apr’18 against 0.296 MnT in Apr’17.
In the fiscal year FY18 company’s long steel output showed the growth of 11% and stood at 3.56 MnT which was 3.21 MnT in FY17.
Company’s flat steel output decline by 9% M-o-M in Apr’18-JSW’s flat steel output registered decline by 9% on monthly basis to 0.967 MnT in comparison with 1.06 MnT in Mar’18.
However on yearly basis company’s flat steel output jumped by 4% in Apr’18 against 0.932 MnT in Apr’17.
JSW Steel’s flat steel output remained unchanged in FY18 and stood 11.44 MnT. In FY17 the same stood at 11.41 MnT.
In the month of Apr’18 major Indian flat steel manufacturers have raised flat steel prices by INR 750-1000/MT in domestic market amid higher prices in global flat steel market.
