JSW Steel has commissioned a new steel melting shop (SMS) at its Dolvi steelworks, which is one of the largest converters with a carrying capacity of 350 t. The SMS is equipped with a state-of-the-art energy recovery system, which is also one of a kind in the world. The tentative daily steel production capacity of the converter will be around 10,000 t.
