JSPL, one of the prominent steel manufacturers in India has clocked highest ever steel production with an ascension of 13% to 6.3 MnT in (Apr’19-Mar’20) FY’20 compared with 5.59 MnT in the previous fiscal year.
— The increased production at JSPL’s Raigarh plant with the lone private sector rail mill at 0.57 MnT and the Plate Mill’s output of 0.947 MnT in the current fiscal is being seen in conjunction with the growth in overall output.
— Meanwhile, the company’s sales witnessed a growth by 12% to 6.04 MnT in FY’20 as compared to 5.41 MnT in FY’19, which is also the highest ever recorded figure in the books of the company.
— Mr V. R. Sharma said, “The 3.00 MTPA figure from the newly installed Angul plant was a dream, which comes true now. Raigarh has already done this miracle twice earlier. India’s largest Blast furnace at Angul continue to produce more than 10000 MT/day of hot metal and World only SynGas based DRI Plant is running well, which will lead to creating new records in future.”
— He also added that “it is truly a splendid achievement, and attributed these achievements to JSPL’s perseverant workforce.
