Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) has announced a hike of INR 3,000/t ($40/t) in plate prices for early-Feb’22 sales. After the hike, list prices of steel plates (8-40mm, E250) are at INR 68,500-69,000/t ($917-924/t) exy-Mumbai, excluding 18% GST. The surge in global steel prices and rising imported coal and raw material prices trigerred the hike.
