India: JSPL eyes pellet capacity expansion at Angul, Odisha

Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL) plans to start two pellet plants in the industrial city of Angul, Odisha by next year, sources informed SteelMint. The first pellet plant of 6 mnt/year capacity is likely to start operations by Sept’22, while the other 6 mnt/year plant is to start by Sept’23. India’s pellet capacity rose from around 95 mnt in CY’20 to over 110 mnt in CY’21.
