India: Jindal SAW’s pellet output drops y-o-y in Q2FY23 on maintenance shutdown

Western India-based Jindal SAW Ltd recorded pellet production at 264,000 t in Q2FY23 against 360,000 t in Q2FY22. Production dropped y-o-y due to a scheduled plant shutdown for one month. Meanwhile, total sales for the quarter were recorded at 394,000 t. The pellet maker expects demand to remain stable in Q3FY23. The company has a pellet production capacity of 1.5 mnt/year.
