Western India-based – Jindal SAW Ltd has increased its pellet offer by INR 500/t w-o-w. The current offer for Fe 63% grade pellets stands at INR 15,700/t DAP Kandla. The offers have increased against its last offer of INR 15,200/t, SteelMint learned from sources. Hike in pellet offers in other markets along with an increase in global iron ore prices has resulted in a hike in the global iron ore fines index which increased to $191.4/t CFR China yesterday. The company has a pellet plant of capacity 1.2 mn t pa in Bhilwara and is a key source of raw material to Gujarat-based plants.
