- Western India-based Jindal SAW Ltd has decreased pellet offers by INR 800/t ($11) m-o-m. The current offer for Fe 63% pellet stands at INR 16,200/t DAP Kandla, SteelMint learnt from sources.
- The company has total pellet production capacity of 1.2 mn t/year at Bhilwara in Rajasthan. The plant is a key source of raw material to Gujarat-based units.
- Declining domestic pellet offers in key markets have impacted prices adversely. NMDC is heard to have sold 27,000 t of pellets (Fe 63.5%) at INR 11,800/t FOT Donimalai plant to Gujarat-based buyers recently.
