Western India-based Jindal SAW Ltd has decreased pellet offers by INR 1,400/t ($19) m-o-m. The current offer for Fe 63% pellet stands at INR 14,800/t DAP Kandla, SteelMint learnt from sources. The company’s pellet production capacity is 1.2 mn t/year from its facility at Bhilwara in Rajasthan. The Bhilwara plant is a key source of raw material to Gujarat-based units. Declining domestic pellet offers in key markets have resulted in lowering of offers.
