India: Jharkhand-based mills conclude 4,000 t each of billet, sponge iron deals

Ramgarh-based steel mills concluded around 4,000 t of billet and a similar quantity of sponge iron deals on exw basis.

• 1,500 t of low-carbon billets were sold to buyers in Mandi Gobindgarh at INR 43,800/t.
• 2,500 t of mild steel billets were sold to Jaipur and Patna at INR 43,200-43,500/t.
• 1,500 t of sponge C-DRI deals were reported at 31,500/t.
• 2,500 t of sponge P-DRI deals were heard at INR 29,300-29,500/t.
• The freight rates to Mandi Gobindgarh, Jaipur and Patna are INR 2,300/t, 1,800/t and 800/t, respectively.
