Raipur, Central India based billet manufacturers reported strong demand today as well. As per sources, a few parcels of total 2,000 t billets have been sold today to Jalna (Maharashtra), Western India and the average deal price of the same is reported at INR 36,700-800/t exw Raipur, equivalent to INR 38,500-700/t FoR Jalna. Supply shortage in the local market as well as competitive landed offers from other regions, remained the major factors behind recent deals to Jalna. Current billet offer in Jalna is hovering at INR 39,000-39,200/t FoR.
