Odisha based miners have raised fines prices by upto INR 400/MT. While, in Jharkhand, prices have moved up by INR 250/MT.
Amid acute scarcity of raw material prevailing in the domestic market, Odisha’s largest merchant miner – Rungta Mines has raised its fines prices. However, lump prices remain unchanged. Rungta Mines sold 10-30 mm at INR 5,000/MT (as per loaded into wagons) to Steel plants in Odisha.

Essel Mining followed suit by increasing its fines prices by INR 300/MT. OMC’s first ever Iron ore e-auctions fetched high bids. Bid prices for lump & fines have moved up by 22% & 20% respectively via e-auctions.
Other miners namely Serajuddin mines & Indrani Patnaik are not offering Iron ore as of now. National Enterprises is offering 5-18 mm (Fe 61%) at INR 5,500/MT ex-mines. Ghanashyam Misra & Sons is offering raw material outside Odisha as well.
Rungta Mines (Jharkhand) Fines Prices up by INR 250/MT: Rungta (Jharkhand mines) has increased fines prices by INR 250/MT. Fe 63% fines are at INR 4,000/MT (as per loaded to wagons at Jharkhand).
