CoalMint heard a deal of 700 t of Indonesian 6100 kcal/kg GAR coal being sold at INR 15,500/t at Chennai Port. Steel mills as well as several other coal consumers are procuring small parcels from ports amid the growing unviability of running operations amid the steep surge in raw material prices. Vessel arrivals of high-CV coals are few amid strong procurement demand by buyers in Europe and Japan.
