In a confirmed deal, 3,000 t of 5,100 GAR coal was sold at INR 9,200/t ex-Vizag. Prices exclude cess and GST. Portside prices for this grade have moved up by INR 1,000/t in the past one month. Indonesian imported coal prices have moved up by $20/t m-o-m amid increased demand from China and tight supply in Indonesia. Indian rolling mills, key users of 5,100 GAR coal, are currently operating at reduced capacity, given high raw material costs (iron ore) and sluggish domestic demand.
