In a confirmed deal, 10,000 t of Indonesian 3800 GAR coal was sold at INR 4,600/t, ex-Navlakhi port (excluding cess and GST) recently. Manufacturing units, especially those based in Gujarat’s Morbi region, are heard buying low-CV Indonesian coal ahead of the onset of heavy rains. Tight supply of Indonesian coal and high prices are keeping even portside prices in India elevated, as per CoalMint reports.
