A total of 15,000 t of 3400 kcal/kg GAR grade Indonesian coal was sold at INR 6,700/t at Kandla amid strong demand for low-CV material at Indian ports. Elevated global prices since last year have compelled imported coal consumers (non-power sector) to procure low-CV material. Imported prices of the grades are assessed at $49/t FOB basis.
