In a confirmed deal, low-CV 3400 GAR grade Indonesian coal was traded at $47/t for Oct’21 shipment expected at Tuna port. Indians are back to booking low-CV thermal coal amid ongoing domestic coal supply crunch. However, on the supply side, the key mining region in Indonesia, Kalimantan, is facing disruption in coal production and supply due to heavy rains and strict quarantine rules on rising COVID cases.
