IF rebar prices increased sharply today by INR 700-3,000/t across regions on strengthening raw materials prices as well as semi-finished steel prices. Healthy future bookings in finished steel during yesterday’s trading session – even on an off-day – resulted in the surge in offers today. Trader sources informed SteelMint that near-term prices are unlikely to witness any correction.
