IF re-bar prices increased by up to INR 500/t, d-o-d, except in the key markets of western region. Higher inventories at mills pressurised western region based suppliers to adjust their offers as per buying enquiries in the spot market. However, rising steel billet prices in the leading markets led to a marginal improvement in trading activity and demand for rebar steel.
