State-owned IDCOL Ferro Chrome & Alloys Limited has floated a tender for the sale of High Carbon Ferro Chrome (HCFC) of quantity 1450 MT approximately, out of which 1400 MT is offered for HCFC (Cr 57 – 64%) lumps, and 50 MT for HCFC (Cr 58 – 63%) lumps.
The last date for receipt of bids is 3.00 PM on 19 July, 2013.
Domestic offers for HC Ferro Chrome of grade 60%, with carbon content of 6-8% are in the range of Rs. 65,000 – 66,000 /MT. It is to be noted that the weakened Rupee has made exports a more lucrative option for the Ferro Chrome producers, inducing stable offers in the domestic market.
