India: HZL’s production declines, net profit falls y-o-y in Q3FY’23

Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL) reported its results for the third quarter of the ongoing fiscal (Q3FY’23).

• Zinc production stood at 210,000 t during the quarter, down 1.7% y-o-y and up 11.3% q-o-q.
• Lead production was at 46,000 t, lower by 1.4% y-o-y and down 18.1% q-o-q due to planned shutdown at Dariba lead plant.
• Net profit was at INR 2,156 crore, a decrease of 20.2% y-o-y and down 19.6% q-o-q.
