India: Hyderabad-based rebars manufacturers raise gauge parity by INR 500/t

Rebar manufacturers in Hyderabad, Telangana, have raised gauge parity for all sizes starting on December 30, 2022 by INR 500/t ($6/t). For 8mm, 10mm, and 32mm rebars, the gauge parity is INR 6,500/t, and for 12mm to 25mm, it is INR 5,500/t. To increase margins, producers increased parity. The difference between steel billets (100mm) and rebars (12mm) today is approx INR 5,500/t.
