Rebar manufacturers in Hyderabad, Telangana, have increased the gauge parity by INR 500/t ($6/t) for all sizes from 14 Sept’22. The gauge parity for 8mm, 10mm and 32mm rebar is at INR 6,000/t and for 12-25mm at INR 5,000/t. Producers have raised parity to improve margins. Today, the margin from steel billet (100mm) to rebar (12mm) was at around INR 5,000/t.
