Coal India subsidiary, Eastern Coalfields Ltd, has commenced coal production at Hura-C mine located in Rajmahal area of West Bengal. Notably, the mine has become the first opencast project to be operationalised through a mine-developer-operator (MDO) mode. The annual capacity of Hura-C project is 3 mnt.
