A private Indian steel giant booked 5,000-10,000 t of HRCs for exports to the UAE at $1,000/t CFR, for end-May or early-June delivery, this week. Indian HRC export offers dropped from $1,050-1,100/t CFR level at the beginning of the week, amidst subdued bids and increased competition from the Chinese market. Offers from Chinese mills are heard at around $970/t CFR.
