India: HR strip (patra) prices fall by up to INR 700/t ($9/t) in key markets

HR strip (patra) prices dropped by INR 700/t ($9/t) in Raipur and by INR 300/t ($4/t) in Mandi Gobindgarh on 18 Aug’22. Current base grade patra (148-200mm, 2mm thick) prices stand at INR 52,500/t ($659/t) exw-Raipur and INR 54,000/t ($678/t) exw-Mandi, excluding GST at 18%.
