SteelMint’s assessment for HR plate (E250, 20-40mm) prices declined marginally by INR 1,500/t w-o-w to INR 57,000-58,000/t exy-Mumbai, excluding GST at 18%. Limited trade amid cautious buyers purchasing in low volumes continued to weigh on the prices, sources infromed. However, China heavy plate (SS400) export offers increased by $10/t to $570-590/t FOB Rizhao over an improving global market sentiments.
