India: Hindustan Copper secures INR 2,700-crore contract for mine expansion

Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) has been awarded a significant INR 2,700-crore tender for the revival and expansion of the Rakha Copper Mines, the development of a new underground mine at Chapri, and the commissioning of a state-of-the-art concentrator plant. This move is set to significantly enhance India’s copper production capabilities and reduce its dependency on imports, aligning with the government’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” vision.
