India’s primary producers increased aluminium ingot (P1020, 99.7%) prices by up to INR 3,000/t ($36/t) on 2 Oct’24, compared to 28 Sep. Post-revision, Hindalco’s prices were at INR 234,500/t ($3,091/t), up INR 2,750/t ($33/t), and Balco’s were at INR 261,750/t ($3,117/t), up INR 3,000/t ($36/t). All prices are ex-works and exclude GST. At the time of reporting, aluminium futures on the LME stood at $2,678/t.
