India: Hindalco, Balco hike aluminium ingots prices by INR 2,250/t ($30/t)

Hindalco and Balco have increased primary aluminium ingots (P1020, 99.7%) prices by INR 2,250/t ($30/t) today as against 26 Mar’22.
Hindalco’s and Balco’s effective prices are at INR 313,500/t ($4,128/t) and INR 316,250/t ($4,164/t) respectively.
Balco has a production capacity of around 0.6 mnt per annum, 15% of India’s market share, while Hindalco’s production capacity is 1.2 mnt per annum – 34% of the domestic market share.
