India: Hindalco, Balco hike aluminium ingot prices by up to INR 9,250/t ($121/t)

Hindalco and Balco have increased primary aluminium ingots (P1020, 99.7%) prices by up to INR 9,250/t ($121/t) d-o-d today.
Hindalco’s and Balco’s effective prices are at INR 318,500/t ($4,179/t) and INR 321,250/t ($4,215/t) respectively.
Balco has a production capacity of around 0.6 mnt per annum, 15% of India’s market share, while Hindalco’s production capacity is 1.2 mnt per annum – 34% of the domestic market share.
