Heavy structural steel prices in Raipur, central India declined by INR 500/t today. The current offer for 150 mm channel stands at INR 50,500/t. Manufacturers are offering trade discounts, which are tentatively over INR 1,500/t, depending on booking quantity and payment terms. Drop in billet prices and weak buying enquiries for structural steel in the spot market have resulted in the fall in prices, sources said.
