Heavy structural steel manufacturers in Raipur decreased prices by INR 500/t. The current offer for 150mm channel stands at INR 56,000/t exw. Demand for structural steel remained sluggish due to declining steel billet prices. Buyers were not interested to procure material even after increased discounts. Trade discounts offered by the suppliers in Raipur are up to INR 2,000/t. In Durgapur yesterday prices for same size were hovering around INR 53,800-54,200/t.
