India: GSECL releases Tender for long-term Supply of Steam Coal

Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) has floated tender for long-term supply of 5 MnT imported Steam Coal per annum on High Seas Sales & CIF basis for 20 years.

GSECL intends to procure around 5 MnT imported Steam coal from coal mine owners for its various thermal power station located in Gujarat namely Sikka Power Station (Jamnagar), Wanakbori Power Station (Kheda), Gandhinagar Power Station (Gandhinagar) and Ukai Power Station (Tapai).

The company is inviting bids for purchase of 5 MnT imported Steam coal per annum in bulk for a period of 20 years on High Seas Sales & CIF basis.

Bidder should quote for minimum 50% of total quantity. 

Eligibility Criteria

• Tenderers should be mine owners with having experience in past 3 fiscal years (FY12-FY14) with at least net worth of INR 100 crore for each of the last three financial years
• Bidder should quote there prices in Indian currency only

GCV: 5,000-6,000 Kcal/Kg

Total Quantity: 5 MnT

Tentative Annual Quantity Requirement

Delivery: Bidder shall arrange delivery of imported coal in suitable size vessels  with uniform monthly delivery rates for GSECL’s power stations.
