India: Govt to extend MEIS for 3 months to 31 Mar ’21

In what could provide temporary relief to exporters, the government is thinking of extending the Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) for three months to 31 Mar ’21. The extension may give the government additional time to roll out the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products Scheme (RoDTEP) which will replace MEIS. Exporters will get additional time now to switch over to the new scheme.
